Pyramid Lake by muckSponge Pyramid Lake by muckSponge
Original photo taken by Richard Misrach: [link]

You may recognise this as the iPad wallpaper. I took the iPad version and scaled it up to 1920x1200 using various Photoshop techniques. Unlike most other versions of this wallpaper, this one is not copied and pasted over and over and features no pixelation, despite being scaled up to a HD resolution.

Download the .zip to get a high quality jpeg and a lossless png wallpaper (the jpeg is included because sometimes Windows compresses the wallpaper quite a lot if it is too large in file size).

Nice. It's pretty amazing what you can do to a vertically oriented wallpaper to make it high resolution and widescreen nowadays :D

I can't say I do. What resolution would it need to be?

Sadly I can't go that wide without getting some artefacts. I'm sure that same wallpaper on both screens would do :)
